We are Kees van den Berk & Marga de Vries and would love to welcome you to our beautiful location in Tuscany.
i due cipressi - Bed & Breakfast is located in the outskirts of Santa Fiora in southern Tuscany, about an hour from Siena and an hour from the coast at Grosseto.
Santa Fiora is one of the 'borghi più bella d'Italia (most beautiful villages of Italy).
It is a small and cozy village with about 2,800 inhabitants.
On the edge of the center of Santa Fiora is the peschiera, a beautiful large pond with a fountain and impressive fish, surrounded by a park in which you can walk.
There is a cozy terrace overlooking the peschiera where you can have a drink or something to eat.
In Santa Fiora there are several restaurants and bars, there is a supermarket (less than 10 minutes from our agriturismo) and there are several other stores.
There is much history in Santa Fiora and many traditions are celebrated annually.
From Santa Fiora there are several hiking & biking tours. Starting from the peschiera, the center (at the bottom of the bridge) or from the Convento,
Renting electric bikes is also possible, both in Santa Fiora and in Castel del Piano.

When in the summer of 2021 we discovered this beautiful location in Santa Fiora, with 5ha of land, 80 olive trees, fruit trees, possibility for a vegetable garden and for chickens, it was quickly clear:
This is the place where we will live our most beautiful life.

Bed & Breakfast:
The old white barn that long ago housed 15 cows has been completely converted into a beautiful Bed & Breakfast with two rooms in 2023.
Each room has a large terrace with pergola and deck chairs, a swimming pool with sun beds and a parasol.
Plenty of opportunity to enjoy (with a good book and/or a nice cool drink) the sun or the shade. To listen to the sound of silence and look at the beautiful view in peace and quiet to be able to take a refreshing "dip" in the refreshing water of the pool from time to time.

Agriturismo:
Our agriturismo has been given the name by which our location is known: Podere Campo Gallina.
Within two years we have realized everything to comply with the regulations to be an agriturismo.
Thus in 2024, 200 olive trees have been added (including Piante di olivastra seggianese & Piante di leccio del corno.
First the land has been arranged:
We also sowed a total of about 4600m2 of broad beans.
After pre-tilling the land, first laying out the lines and then using a very handy stick to place bean by bean in the ground)
(Fried broad beans must be delicious 😉)

Future:
Once the olive grove is all set up and the trees have grown a little bigger we would like to expand further with:
Glamping pitches:
Among the olive trees, on sites of about 10x10 meters, will be placed a furnished Safari tent or a woodenwagon.
All pitches will offer plenty of privacy and have private sanitary facilities.

Extras for the future:
Proposal:
Are you staying with us and you think it would be more than romantic to propose to your partner among the olive trees, we think with you!
Harvest of the day:
Once the vegetable garden gives enough yield, we want to start offering our guests the harvest of the day every day. For a small fee from which we can then buy new plantings for the following year.
Pizza night:
There is an authentic pizza oven on the property, of course we are going to offer cozy pizza evenings for our guests.
Yoga:
Marga has successfully completed the training for Yin Yoga teacher. This is a 200 hour course, enough inspiration to start offering wonderful yoga classes.
Retreat:
There are also many possibilities for this in the future, feel free to contact us for further info and status of our possibilities.
Wine tasting:
Once we get to know the local winemakers this is also on our list of extras to offer.
