i due cipressi - Bed & Breakfast is a B&B facility on the grounds of
Agriturismo Podere Campo Gallina.
The location/ground of our agriturismo has been in the records since 1123 under the name Campo Gallina. Around 1824 the farmhouse was built.
Thereby it was given the name Podere Campo Gallina. Freely translated “Farm chicken field.
To become an agriturismo, many rules must be met, such as becoming a farmer and planting several olive trees. So we are 'olive farmer' with a Bed & Breakfast.
The agriturismo has about 280 olive trees. 80 trees were already there when we moved in and another 200 will be planted in 2024.
For the olive connoisseurs among others Piante di olivastra seggianese & Piante di leccio del corno.
The B&B is located in the outskirts of Santa Fiora in southern Tuscany. Sant Fiora is just over an hour's drive below Siena and an hour from the coast at Grosseto.
Coming from Pisa - Florence or Rome, it is about a 2,5 drive. Coming from NL then it is about 1500km from Utrecht.
Santa Fiora is one of the 'borghi più bella d'Italia (most beautiful villages of Italy). It is a small and cozy village with about 2,800 inhabitants, belongs to the province of Grosseto and is located at 687km altitude.
At the edge of the center of Santa Fiora is the peschiera, a beautiful large pond with a fountain and impressive fish, surrounded by a park in which you can walk. There is a cozy terrace overlooking the peschiera where you can have a drink or something to eat.
In Santa Fiora there are several restaurants and bars, there is a supermarket (less than 10 minutes from our agriturismo) and there are several other stores.
There is a lot of history in Santa Fiora and many traditions are celebrated every year.
From Santa Fiora there are several hiking & biking tours. Starting from the peschiera, the center (at the bottom of the bridge) or from the Convento,
Renting electric bikes is also possible, both in Santa Fiora and in the nearby area for example in Castel del Piano.

Future:
Once the olive grove is all set up and the trees have grown a little bigger we want to expand further with:
Glamping places:
On our site, in places of about 10x10 meters, we want to place a number of furnished Safari tents and possibly 'wooden-caravans' (Pipowagens in Dutch).
Close to a swimming pool and a short distance from the sanitary building.
Looking at the work now, we hope to realize this 2026-2027.

Harvest of the Day:
Once the vegetable garden gives enough yield, we want to start offering our guests the harvest of the day every day. For a small fee from which we can then buy new plantings for the following year.
Outside kitchen:
The B&B rooms do not have a kitchen facility. Therefore, we want to create an outdoor kitchen for our guests to use.
Pizza night:
On the property there is an authentic pizza oven, of course we are going to offer cozy pizza evenings for our guests.
Pasta night:
Once a week we want to offer our guests the opportunity to come and eat freshly prepared pasta. After all, we all sometimes do not feel like going out to eat somewhere.
From 2026:
Yoga:
Marga has successfully completed the Yin Yoga teacher training program. This is a 200 hour course, enough inspiration to start offering wonderful yoga classes.
Retreat:
There are also many possibilities for this in the future, feel free to contact us for further info and status of our possibilities.
Wine Tasting:
Once the wine cellar is remodeled and renovated into a beautiful tasting room, we plan to approach a number of wineries and Enoteca's in our region so we can start offering wine tastings.
